We are looking for an assistant project manager for the Kista branch at an authority in Stockholm.

This is a consultancy assignment.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The authority's mission is to prepare and implement decisions regarding the direction and scope for a long-term sustainable public transport system. They are also responsible for the management and follow-up of traffic operations as well as maintaining the functionality, safety, and value of the infrastructure. Every day, more than 700,000 people travel using public transport, including subway, buses, commuter trains, and local trains.

The Kista branch program is responsible for the remaining measures on the existing Solna branch and the new Kista branch, which is a planned expansion of the Tvärbanan. The Kista branch starts after the Norra Ulvsunda stop in Bromma and extends to the Helenelund commuter train station in Sollentuna.

The assignment initially includes the role of assistant project manager in the Ursviks Torg-Helenelund Project, which is an essential part of the Kista branch program. Depending on needs, it may also eventually include project management within other parts of the program. The authority is now looking for a driven project management person with experience in large project organizations and experience from projects within the authority or similar operations.

To assist the assistant project manager, there is a project group consisting of staff functions with specialist competencies. The assistant project manager ensures that the project achieves set goals regarding time, cost, and quality with support from the project manager. As an assistant project manager, one should act based on development goals; competent project executor, business-oriented client, effective management with the traveler in focus. Responsibilities

• In consultation with the project manager and others within the project, manage and follow up the design work and production in accordance with governing documents
• Be jointly responsible with the project manager for ensuring that the project is conducted in accordance with PPH and other guidelines, routines, and strategies.
• In consultation with the project manager, plan, lead, and follow up the design and production regarding time, economy, environment, quality, and working environment
• Ensure that the project complies with the authority's requirements according to the project and program handbook regarding documentation and archiving.
• In consultation with the project manager, represent the authority and the project in contact with various external parties and actors such as authorities, management owners, suppliers, and contractors.
• In consultation with the project manager, manage information efforts towards operations and third parties
• Actively and systematically work with requirements and change management
• Establish and update project specifications based on project orders.
• Work with the project's TG process and accompanying document management.
• Ensure that the project adheres to the authority's safety management system and requirements for environment and working conditions.
• Represent the organization's needs in collaboration with the rest of the project management
• Anchoring of decisions
• Participate in the work with financial forecasts and reports and status reporting to sponsors and steering groups.
• Participate in the work with the project's risk management
• Participate and lead project group meetings.
• Participate in the work with resource planning
• Review tender documents/construction documents
• Participate in the preparation of materials for the procurement of consultants and contracts.
• Assist in the procurement of both consultants and contracts
• Ensure that the authority's internal approval process for relevant documents is followed.
• Participate in the work of handing over the project to the recipient and ensuring that deliveries are completed according to the project order.
• Participate in the work of closing the project, compiling experiences, and delivering the final report

Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)

Completed University or Vocational Engineering education (at least two years). At least three years of work experience as a project manager, assistant project manager, or production manager in at least one large infrastructure project (>100 million). The consultant must have documented work experience from at least one (1) project involving handovers to public administration, e.g., project closure, procurement, or similar. At least three (3) years of work experience within a client organization in municipal, regional, or state authority. Documented training in AMA and standard agreements AB04, ABT06 within the last five years.

Meritorious

At least one (1) project as a site manager, construction manager, assistant project manager, or production manager in a railway/tramway project in the last five (5) years. Project management training (at least three days) Documented training in LOU/LUF.
